Ok, I am an citizen of Canada, born and raised here. And I have a boyfriend who I have been seeing over the internet for over a year now. He lives in south africa and wants to move and stay with me here in canada, I wanna to sponsor his Visa if I can, and I would like to know how. Please help.

If it is possible I had one idea but can't find a sure answer. If he were to move to canada, and stay with me, would he be able to get his visa when he is already in canada? He also wants to get a worker and student permit aswell, is it possible if he is already in canada?

From what i've seen, you need to sponsor him, the process takes some time but not sure how long , I know from Jordan 6-9 months, all the info on www.cic.gc.ca

You need to get married before you can sponsor under Family Class

you need to be married first for spouse sponsor.
I think, other options include work permit, if you can find him a job offer then he can come and work with temporary work permit visa or ( with the job offer in hand)  apply for immigration through PNP, I think processing time varies from one province to another

Hi

Any other option then that?

You can live together in a C/law relationship for a year, and then you could sponsor him.  Read the definition of Common/law though:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op02e.pdf  section 5.46
