Need help still....

Hi to all,
      I have the baby recenly and having a bunch of problems when labor in the hospital,and they got me a social worker there too...Baby became a citizen right away for sure because his dad is canadian citizen...
      My question are,is there possible that my boyfriend be the one who gonna receive the child tax benefits instead of me due to i don't have any status in Canada?My boyfriend have a charges with the police which is not solved yet,its that mean thats gonna be a problem for him to sponser me??I still haven't got my expired passport renew.I heard that if i renew it with the Embassy of Malaysia,they might just gonna keep my passport and won't renew it for me...
      Now i have my baby boy here,i can't just leave him and my husband-gonna-be here and going back to malaysia and i don't know what to do...can somebody help me please?

You've definitely got a few issues.  Since you don't say what "charges with the police" your bf is having to resolve, it's hard for us to determine whether he's actually not eligible to sponsor you. 

You may NOT sponsor if:
•You were convicted of a *censored word*ual offence or an offence involving family violence, unless you were granted a pardon or five years have passed since the completion of your sentence
• You are under a removal order
• You are detained in a penitentiary, jail reformatory
or prison

But, even if your bf is eligible to sponsor you, you can't get permanent status in Canada without first getting your passport renewed.  Don't know why the Embassy of Malaysia would keep it and not renew it . . . but you need to get some answers from someone who knows.  Your Embassy here in Canada is supposed to be there to help you - maybe the social worker can help you get some correct information.
