*****Need Help sent the intial application in April last---URGENT*****

Hi,

This is umit from India.I sent my application in the month of April (Via Indian registered post)......But i have not recieved any response yet...


I went to my Bank and came to knwo from there that DD of $550 has been encahsed on 16th Aug 2010.....But still no communication from CIC either by e-mail or post mail...It is already 6 months...

Please suggets/guid eme how i can check the status of my application...or what i should do now please??

Those guys who have not received their first AOR ( April or May Applicants) can follow up as below:-

1) Call at +1-613-944-4000, option to choose: 1,2,1,2,1..wait for 10-12 mins ( give details such as surname, date of birth,etc)

2) send an emial to re-london-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca giving details of urs such as Name, Surname, Date of Birth, Passport No:, Documents delivery, etc

Please dont have much patience at this time as it already pass 6 months or more.

sumitbaja: you've been given good advice to follow up with CIC by phone or email.  It is reassuring that your fees have been taken so things are probably moving along just fine, but you will not be reassured until you find out for sure.  On one of the other threads the following email address was given (see pg 332 on Applications after 26/06, posting by Cay_sha for details of information you need to provide in your email to verify who you are)  FSW-Sydney-Search-Enquiry @ cic.gc.ca
You can also send a visa office specific query to YOUR visa office.  Good luck.

Hi Sumitbaja

Contact the Visa Office you selected in your application to see if the electronic version of your file has been transferred by CIO, NS.

If it has, then this means you were approved and a mail/email was sent to you (and obviously not received by you).  In addition, they will tell you when this transfer was made and this will help you determine your 120 day limit (as an approximate).  They might in fact be able to get CIO to send you the email again.

I submitted my application on May 5th and got received bu CIC on 15th May. But didn't received any communication mail from CIC.Might be i missed in spam and deleted. So i called them today and got the confirmation e-mail again.

Now i have below queries please :--

(1) On that  e-mail i have client id no and i more number but i am not able to search with that number on cic websites ?
(2) The mail originally sent was on 30th sep, So i think my 120 days start from that day . is it correct?
(3) How to give IELTS and which one?
(4) Do i need to pay right of permanent residence fees now at teh tiem of submitting full docs to New Delhi VO or later ?
(5) What is this Fisr AOR means. Is it First communication mail from CIC?


Can you please please reply to me in the sequence of questions. That will clear lot of doubts of mine and also will help to speed up my process. as i already have lost 54-55 days.

Yes.your 120 day time line starts from 30th Sept.( me the same case-i also received my 1st AOR mail on 3oth Sept)

U need to give General module only.academic is not accepted now.IELTS results needs to be submitted with your full docs.(within 120 days)

A. No need to pay it now.It has to be paid when u get medical + PPR request.

First AOR is the mail u got .Acknowledgemnt of receipt.After u send all docs.to CHC New Delhi,new Delhi will issue 2nd AOR.

Till now you have not given your IELTS and at this stage you are asking which IELTS to give. You are very short of time. Please prepare yourself for IELTS ( if not given) and gather all the documents immediately.

Do i need PCC from native place punjab or from Bangalore?
A. No u need PCC from one place only.Better take it from yr native.
(2) Do i need pCC for both( me and my dependent) or only for me ?
Yes,all dependents above 18 yrs need seperate PCC.
(3) For IELTS which one to clear British or Australian ? I heard these are the two..
A. Go for British council.
(4) How many are minumum bands i need?
U need to get 67 points overall for yr education,experience,english,age,adaptability.Now u decide how much u need for english.U can get max 16 points for english if you get 8 bands. for 7 bands 14 points etc.
do ask if u need further clarification.

It all depends your total points which should be 67 points.


Age                             
Education
Work Experience
Adaptability ( Spouse education or relatives in canada)
English Proficiency) IELTS

Please visit  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp

Take your self assessment test and keep the balance points for IELTS.

For IELTS this is the score card:

LEVEL   Points   Speaking                   Listening     Reading                 Writing
HIGH     4   6.5 to 9.0   7.50 to 9.0   6.5 to 9.0   6.5 to 9.0
MODERATE 2   5.5 to 6.0   5.50 to 7.0   5.0 to 6.0   5.0 to 6.0
BASIC     1   4.0 to 5.0   4.50 to 5.0   3.5 to 4.5   4.0 to 5.0

You will get maximum 16 points in IELTS

For that you need to score as follows:-

Listening - 7.50
Others - 6.50  ( R+W+S )

Which Band do you require?  The highest one you can get!  Just keep your mind focused on doing your best.  When you calculated your points, what score did you give yourself in IELTS to reach 67, or do you have extra points to spare?
Do a google search for the British Council IELTS and book a seat immediately, if you haven't already done so.  I may take a couple of weeks to get your test done and then another 13 days for the results.  If you can get two originals it might be a good idea - if they only give you one, you can request a second one to be sent to a business address (a friend or your office?).  They will only send one to your home I think.  There are all sorts of on line IELTS tutoring aids.  You can also look for hints on this FORUM, just look for IELTS in the drop down box at the bottom of this page where it says "Jump to:"  Best of luck!
