Hello guys... I need your expertise in filling-up the application forms please. I have a few questions:

1. I am being sponsored as a conjugal partner. Part of the requirements now is a security clearance and medicals for family members whether accompanying the applicant to Canada or not. My family members are my mom, dad and sister. I do not have any dependents. Do they need to go for medicals too and get a security clearance???

2. In the Sponsorship Questionnaire Form, what is the difference between:-
a. Date my sponsor became a permanent resident of Canada
b. Date my sponsor was sponsored (if also sponsored as dependent, spouse, relative, etc).

Is letter (a) the date when the permanent residence visa was issued or the date when my sponsor landed in Canada?

My partner was sponsored as a dependent by his mom and we don't know the exact date now when his mom applied for the sponsorship... if that's what being asked in letter (b).

Any thoughts?

1.  No.  Only you need to do the medical and security clearances.

2 a.  Date landed
b.  I don't know.  Where do you see this question on the form?  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344EA.pdf

You have provided the link to the wrong form, rjessome. It is question number 10 in the Sponsor Questionnaire Form: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5540E.PDF

Ah!!!  Ok, now I see it.

He can check on his Landing paper or Confirmation of Permanent residence form if he still has those.  Otherwise, I would just call the Call Centre to see how he can get this information.
