Need help - Got email from cic saying

Hey guys i have applied for CEC beginning of dec 2011 and i got email from cic saying some of the fields are incomplete in application.
My wife is principal applicant so they asked for what she was doing coz we missed 5 months of her time for preparing to come to canada back in 2007.
1.Personal history (Section , during the period zzz 2007 to zzz 2007 for xxxx

2. Membership or association with organizations (Section 9) xxxx and yyyy

3. Government positions held (Section 10) xxxx and yyyy

we applied ourselves without any agent and this email came straight to her email address so i am sure it is not fake.

please give advise on how to reply to this kind of email. Should i just answer her questions using her format in the email only? or fill out forms with only the missing information? or fill out this form again for both of us specifying everything again?

hi brar4,

You are lucky they didnt return the complete application package. I had the same situation. My whole application package was returned and I was asked to fill out personal history section for the missing year of history, and I basically updated the form with the info and sent it back to Buffalo. I would suggest that you provide them the missing information based on the Personal History section form. Maybe fill out the Personal History Section form with all the dates and scan and send to them. Just make sure to detail out what they have asked for. I'm glad CIC is being efficient now asking people missing information by email rather than returning the whole package. Makes more sense and saves both applicant and VO's energy.

fill in the missing info on the application and send back to them. Be sure to include your application number and other contact details... Good luck

thank you guys i already sent it, lets hope for the best

and i mentioned the whole point of it not being fake because i was reading other forums about some issue and most people replied that it could be fake so just wanted to take out that possibility

My boyfriend received the same email. He was also asked to reference the subject of the email in the correspondence. If you dont mind me asking, could you please provide me with your timeline. His file was received by buffalo on 30 Nov 2011.

Same here! We are waiting patiently. I understand its CEC but helps to know what happens to the applications that have lost their place in the queue. Should you here something, please let me know. I would really appreciate it.
