I'm going to be travelling to Canada for possibly 6 months, i'm currently being treated for rheumatoid arthritis (using 10mg)
Methotrexate once a week - and i'm allowed to get it either carried or sent out for a maximum of 3 months while i'm there. but am i allowed to
carry these injections with me (they are all packaged and with a label on it) plus my doctor is writing a letter..

another thing is, they want me to be checked once or maybe twice over there by a doctor so if anything happens.. but i'm not
too sure how to do that? cause all i'll have is a travel insurance.

i know this might sound a bit personal, but i have to get answers for this it's super important for me.

hope someone can help me out Smiley

Hi there,

Carry all your meds in a zip loc bag.  As long as they're labelled with your name and doctor you should have no problem.  The letter from the doctor is okay but not necessary.

Unfortunately the majority of travel insurance do not include doctors visits (unles for follow up after an emergency) so I imagine you'll have to be seen and pay out of pocket.

I'm not sure what a check up will cost but I'm guessing around $180 Sad
Might be cheaper at a walk in clinic?
