need for transcripts

Hi ppl

I a B.com graduate from Bangalore University and i have just landed in Canada this year. I need to get my degree evaluated from the University of Toronto and for this do i need transcripts from my university as i already have my all my university marks sheets which are all in english?

From what i've heard transcripts are sealed copies of the marks sheets i have.

You are correct... you need to get your certificate "evaluated" for Ontario

This is done by using ONE OF 2 institutes:

International Credential Assessment Service in Canada
ICAS
http://www.icascanada.ca/

OR

World Education Services - International Academic Credential Assessments and Evaluations
WES
http://www.wes.org/ca/


Wes is more expensive than ICAS.
ICAS is little bit faster than WES.
ICAS does NOT require you to ask for the transcripts directly from your university.
ICAS can work with "Notarized" copies of your university degree and transcripts.

that was useful information.

I have decided to pursue the CMA certification and they have their own evaluation service. i will also try one of the other evaluating agencies to be sure. the University of Toronto website says that they need either transcripts or statement of marks. so does ICAS.
