Hi Everyone,

I recently came across this forum and found to be very informative as well as helpful to those individuals who are aspiring to study in/immigrate to Canada.  Even I am interested in the same, and hence I have joined this forum.  First, I express my sincere appreciation for great deal of patience exhibited by the forum members in answering the questions posted.

Now, I am writing to seek your valuable suggestions and clarifications about some of my doubts regarding immigration (PR) to Canada.

I have work experience in Healthcare and Insurance related processes such as Medical Records Review of BI, PIP, and WC Claims and Medical Transcription, for more than 5 years now.

In July of this year, the CIC has come up with a new NOC list.  I think my prior work experience matches with that of NOC 1233.  But, I have the following doubts in applying for PR.
Job Experience:  As a medical records reviewer, my responsibilities were to assist claims adjusters in US by reviewing the medical records of litigated claims.  All of my responsibilities were of a reviewer and not much of a claims examiner.  I used to work for an outsourced process and hence all of the responsibilities of a claims examiner could not be accomplished.  So can I apply for immigration under NOC 1233 provided if I get a letter from my employer stating some of the duties of a claims examiner?
a) Job title: Previously, I was hired as a "Consultant" in a private company with roles and responsibilities that of a Claim Adjuster/Claim Examiner (NOC 1233).  Now, my doubt is whether the job title should be the same or is it enough that my roles and responsibilities match with that of NOC 1233.  Also, I have a letter issued by the company mentioning the same.

b) Work experience:  Is the work experience considered only after graduation or will the experience prior to graduation would be considered.

c) Documents:  If I am eligible for the above NOC, I have some questions regarding the submission of documents to CHC.  I don't have IT Returns documents of the previous year (2009), but I have Form 16, Salary Slips, and Bank Statement.  Is it mandatory to provide documents of IT Returns?

It would be of really great help if any member(s) clarifies these doubts, and I really appreciate for their valuable time.

Thanks in advance,

Regards,

If you weren't doing the actual adjusting of the claims, you job experience probably doesn't fall within NOc 1233 read the description http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=1233  Your job experience letter must include the duties and you have to match the majority of the duties in the NOC>
