Need clarificaions on Quebec Skilled Worker Scheme Visa

Hi,
I started as a software engg, then moved to system analyst and now i am a consultant with a total exp of 7.5yrs. However, my engineering degree is that of production and not Information technology neither is it of computers.
My entire medium of education was english.

My agent told me
1) Even if i am a production engg, my experience is enough for me to go ahead and apply. However, when i saw the visa eligibility test websites, there was no category for a guy like me (Different education but IT job)
2) She said, i do not need an ILTES only a small letter from my university stating that my medium of education was english should be enough.

Considering the above facts..dont you think that australian visa would be a better bet for me than quebec.
please advice.
