I am a US citizen working as a registered nurse in New York. I am thinking about making a permanent move to canada soon. Was wondering if I should apply for an immigration visa or a work visa, and if so how long does this normally take to get accepted. If a hospital would offer me a job, was wondering how long they normally would hold that job if the application process takes a while? Any info would help as I am clueless and new to this. Thanks

Hi,

Joshl917,

To apply for immigration go through the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/index.asp
Hospitals are not offering any job until you have to pass the CRNE exam and to be registered as RN or RPN in the province or territory where you would like to practice.

hope its helps,
