We were just approved of an immigrant visa.  I have a question regarding how to transfer our proof of funds.
I am from the Philippines, I want our funds transferred to Canada through or via wire transfer to my brothers bank account in Canada. Is that allowed by the Canadian immigration? What should we tell the immigration officers at the port of entry in Canada, in case that is allowed.

What are the other ways.  Please help especially those who have already landed in Canada.

1.  Probably not a good idea, as you have to show proof of funds at "landing" and your settlement funds would be in your brother's name.

Why not look into opening a HSBC account in the Philippines which you can later transfer to HSBC Canada?
