Hello Friends,

Under personal details there is a question which asks whether I have used any other name. Actually my last name was cut short when I was in my primary school, which is around 19 years back from now. There is no specific reason why it was cut short but was just done for convenience, but was done legally. So all my school certificates post primary school and other degree certificates have the new name. Do I need to answer this question in the generic application form?

Please advise.

Yes. I already applied. waiting for CIC news which comes after medical request.

For Name, just put the name that is present in your passport and education certificates.

If you have different names in passport, education certificates, then name under Passport will be the main, all others wil go under other names.

I have the same name in all the education certificates starting from my primary school and its also the same in the passport. so I should be good, right? No need to mention anything in the nick name column in the application, right?

Friends, I have a generic question. I am right now eligible to apply under CEC (have 2 yrs Canadian experience) but am going to my home country for 2 months in January and will return in April and continue working to my present employer in Canada. I don't want to apply now since it would be difficult to do medicals if received during my absence in Canada. But the point is that, when I return in April, I will not have my recent paystub in Canada since I would not be paid when I am away from Canada. In this case, can I submit any other document from my employer as a proof that I am still employee of the same company or does it not matter at all since I would have already completed 2 years by then and can just submit without my recent pay stubs???
