Yes you can submit the one you have.
However support in writing, it with the fact that the company no longer exists, and any reason for the same.
Give any additional supporting certificates/documents - say salary slips, or any other letters during the period you worked with that employer.

Its simple; you have a scenario and you know you donot have complete supporting evidence.  Fill in the gaps by giving the same in writing - and let the IO take the decision.

All the very best!

boltz is right. you do that.

However, you must submit a document of job description or CIC will not consider the case. It is very unfortunate that the company is no longer exist. Did you not have any document of job description when you were in the company ? Pls. think yourself to find an alternate way to ensure your case will be processed.

Best of luck.

They cannot give points based on the duties you listed unless substantiated by your employer, otherwise, anybody can just write anything and say they cannot get hold of a reference letter from employer anymore.

If you were in the shoes of the visa officer, how would you verify that an applicant really performed the duties he/she mentioned in the application?

I hope you find a way through.  Good luck!

Oh, we thought you are the principal applicant. I think there might not be any problem. Just show the employment certificate. Your husband has all the documents, right ? best of luck.
