Does anybody here renewed their NBI only to be told that there is a new blue form to be filled up? They won't accept anymore the fingerprint from the police department here in Canada....can somebody confirm?  Huh

Isn't it that the Blue form that can be avail in any Philippine Embassy here in Canada will be the one to be use for finger printing then send it back home... I recently renewed my NBI but I still have my old NBI clearance so I don't need a finger print and haven't received the new one yet....

As per Philippine Embassy Vancouver Website, Blue form is not a requirement if you are renewing with your old NBI Clearance.. Did you send your renewal application to Ms. Julie Macalit, IRD-Mailed Clearance Section?...

I bet it doesn't matter from where you are outside the Philippines it's the way they process it as per Philippine embassies.

They need the new form since they are using biometric system. It was implemented last July/Aug. I just did mine last Aug 9. Ask Phil Embassy in your area if theres changes....because im sure there is!

You're right Bambiegirl. I just receive a letter from IRD mailed section, NBI Manila. The letter contains the blue form for fingerprinting and the instruction to send it back to NBI Taft Manila, they said that they are changing their system. And the Philippine Embassy Vancouver Website just changed their instructions on how to renew and apply for a new NBI Certificate.. I wish in the future we can renew our NBI cert. online and pay it online too like NSO.

You mean even if its renewal only, you need a blue form to fill up and stamped by the embassy before sending to NBI in Manila?

Do you have the complete address of Ms. Julie Macalit, IRD-Mailed Clearance Section? Where did you get the money order from, which bank?
Also about the blue form, can we download it from the Vancouver embassy website or do we have to go in person?

I saw the website already but it only say about getting a police clearance and nothing about renewal with an old personal copy. I wish they would be clear about it.

As Visita said, they have a new company doing NBI clearances and the old prints were not transferred to the new company hence they require the blue forms.  For the money order, most banks can issue the money order for you and Canada Post too!

As long as your NBI is still valid when you submit your application you should be ok.
