Sleepless night.... I sent my application in June and my e-case status changed to in-process on August 4 but no communication so far. Just out of curiosity or some feeling that something is going on, yesterday I decided to contact the visa office in my country. I asked them whether I missed something cause I haven't got any mail from them since my status changed. And same day I got an email from them saying that my medical request with forms was sent to me on August 27. Well... it's been only 2 week or may be 2 weeks already and I have no instructions with medical forms on hand. Post office probably is on vacation.... I asked the embassy to send me a copy of the letter but they told me that it was not possible.
Then I contacted designated doctors here in the US and was told that I can take the exam without the forms that were sent to me as long as I know my file number. They told me that they have their own forms or I can download the forms from the net.

Does anyone know what one should do in this situation? And where can I download the forms? What else do they usually ask to submitt along with the medical exams?

Appreciate you advice.

I second that.
also: which kind of mail did the embassy use? If they use a regular mail, it may take up to 1.5. months to reach the US then certainly, you should go without waiting for them to arrive

No, I gave them my permanent address in my country. It sould take them less than that because it's domestic but I don't know how post office works in my country. Probably you know.

Here's their reply:

"Dear .....,

Please note that medical forms along with medical instructions were sent out at your mailing address on August 27, 2009. We cannot mail and email you a copy of that letter.

Sincerely,

Immigration and Visa Section
Embassy of Canada"

reshma123, what did you tell them so that they decided to send you the copy of your letter?

I will wait a little bit and then I presume I will need to contact the embassy again.

I changed the address recently and took time to update the same on my file. In the mean time they sent medicals to my old address. I checked with the USPS and also with old address. No use. Then I emailed CIC explained whole situation that my medicals got misplaced and requested them to send me another copy to my new address. They posted new copy on same day and also emailed me that they posted my copy.

Sorry for bothering you but could you tell me more details?

1. What country is your visa office in and where are you now?
2. Did they ask you to send anything else with the medicals?
3. What is the deadline that they gave you to submit medicals? Did they extend the deadline due to missed mail?
4. Do you know anything else?:)))

Why do you need to call them if you have a representative? You don't trust your lawyer?

Here's how you can contact them but you need your file number for that:

Thanks very much.

1.So what was the initial deadline?
2.Also does your letter say where to send the medicals. Because I talked to doctors here in the US they told me that they send medical results to Canada then from Canada the results are sent to the local visa office. Although those who belong to visa offices in Europe have to send medical results to London, UK.
