Hi every body.

I am from Gaza Strip- Palestine, I have admission from Concordia University-Ph.D in civil engineering with scholarship 18,000 annually. I have to pay my tuition fee which approximately 10,000/year and living expenses as stated in admission letter 10,000/year.

I submitted along with my application bank statement with 20,000 CAD in my account, and also a plot of land worth 100,000 CAD.

on 12/7/2009 I submitted my application to the Canadian embassy in Cairo and in the same day the refusal letter sent to me by Aramex. the reason is I have no adequate funds to complete my study. I also submitted with my application a letter from my supervisor states that the scholarship will be enough for me.

Frankly speaking I'm too upset from the decision of the visa officer, also my passport is stamped by the refusal decision.

plz any one can help me in this issue. I don't know what to do

Hi

any one>>> PMM your comments

That appears odd, since CHC is supposed to only ensure that you sufficient funds for tuition and living expenses for the first year.  First year tuition and living expenses would run slight over $20K.  Are you sure that they took the scholarship into consideration?

I think that you should contact them again.  PS the land value won't help as you can live on it in Canada.

It is interesting their website says $15K living expense funds, will the operational manual, which they are supposed to follow states $10K  http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/op/op12-eng.pdf  page 38.
I assume that you already have applied for and obtained a CAQ
