Dear Gulshan,

I would advise you go to http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG7TOC.asp and read the guides on what you need to do regarding passports and evidence of proof of funds.

That way you are armed with accurate information from the Canadian immigration services.

I hope this helps, although i can tell you that your spouse can use your funds as his proof of funds and vice versa regardless of who applies as principal applicant.

Dear Gulshan,

You may use your spouses account statement as proof of funds if they are also mentioned as part of your dependants in your application.
Generally the validity of your passport when applying for visas should be more than 6 months from the date of your application. If when you apply it is less than six months you may wish to renew before sending your application. You may want to send your application right away to beat the expiration dates. When you get your positive response/approvals you can update your visa office with new passport details.

I hope this helps

I think what carolwayne74 said is enough to clear your doubts. and i am 100% agree with it. You got same reply regarding to POF from a senior member (omm).
If you need to renew your spouse passport then it will take only 5 working days and costs you 4000RS.
I have got mine as URGENT with 4000 Rs fee and within 5 days.

Dear Friend,

apply for the new passport and save the old passport, because VO will ask for the old & new passport during the PP request.

Thanks to SAI
