Hello. I sponsored my husband since March 5th,2008. The visa office is Nairobi Kenya. He had interview May 5th,2008. They have been doing backround checks since then. His file is still in processs. And I am pregnant!. I want him to be in Canada by the time I have to deliver. My due date is July 5th, 2009. Anyone have any suggestions for me? What can I do? I know one of the suggestions is going to the MP and getting a letter from my doctor. Anymore things I can do? Anyone been in this situation? If you have, what have you done?

I heard I can ask CSIS if Kenya really did ask for backround? Is this true?
ANd what are CAIPS and how will they help me.?

Thanks for your time.

Look unfortunately being pregnant isn't going to speed up the process.  You can supply the visa office with a doctor's letter and ultrasound as this may help solidify your relationship but that's about it.  Many women unfortunately give birth separated from their spouses.
With that being said, you can order CAIPS to see what might be delaying your file.  You can see what stage they are in with your husband's application.  You can also ask your MP to make a request to CIC about your case.  Maybe he can tell you something that they won't tell you.
This website is very informative about CAIPS and ordering them in Canada

You only need the consent forms and need to pay the $5 if you are getting someone else to represent you.
If it is you making the request you do it under the Privacy Act , I wish to examine the information as is,
Request For
CAIPS (Information Abroad) don't click overseas visa file as they contact the visa office and photocopy everything and may or may not take you out of queue I heard different answers to this but the first one is all you need.
Leave the first two fields blank too.
