While waiting for the invitation to pass the medical visit, my passport is about to expire in less than 4 months from now.

Do you think that i have to take it on me to order a new one now or is better to wait for Damascus embassy to ask me to do so?
May be the reason why they have been quiet on this issue till now is that they intend to deliver my visa before my passport's expiration date .  Wink Am afraid that deciding by myself to renew it now, will probably work to delay the reception of my visa.  Embarrassed

AND if i renew it, can i choose to not inform the embassy if they continue to stay quiet on this mater?

Please what do you think?

What ever the situation is, I suggest you get your passport renewed at the earliest opportunity. That could avoid any future complication.Send a copy of your renewed passport ( no need for the blank pages), to your visa office.

You will need a new passport, as par CIC instructions passports should be valid for a minimum of 6 months
