My mom apply for a visitor visa a few months agos but it was denied  for:

-Travel History
-Family ties in her country

She is going to apply again because I am having a Baby in June.
She has never travel before.

Does anyone understand about TRAVEL HISTORY .?
Can she apply in march or it is too early?

I think they can not refuse the visa to someone that have not travel before.
Any ideas
Thanks

They can deny a visa to anyone they want to.

The problem with travel history is that your mother has not traveled before.  If she had traveled previously, they would be more comfortable that she was someone who would return to her home country.  But since she hasn't, it has the appearance that she is more likely to be moving permanently.

Also, since she doesn't have family ties in her country, they are not convinced she would return home.

That's how CIC thinks.  So it's up to you to convince them that your mother would return home and not stay in Canada to, for instance, help take care of your new baby.

Good luck.

thaiguy:

thanks very much for you reply.

She has ties in her country . She has an rent apartment, bank account, land property, home property, my two sisters, 5 nephews and nices and she is going to show in this application all of this. but I was more concern about Record of travel.

Thanks very much for your help.

I am not sure, but is it possible that she has not filled the form properly?
Everyone has a first time!

Make sure to put N/A where ever that is not applicable for your case.

Also include all documents that will show her ties to her country.
Maybe somewhere she said she has traveled, but has left the "travel history" section empty!

These are just my thoughts, hope it helps.
