hi! good day to you!
i need your help regarding some clarifications during landing.

my COPR states that I am bound for Alberta (my aunt is there).
but i decided to settle down in vancouver for good instead of alberta.

my questions:
1. is it OK to settle down in vancouver for good considering that my COPR states that i'm bound for Alberta?
2. will the Immigration Officer at Vancouver airport allow me to settle and give them a vancouver address instead of giving them Alberta address?

please help me. thanks!

Hi,

If you don't have an Arranged Employment Opinion (AEO) or Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) visa and not mentioned that you are bound to particular province Than You can land anywhere accept Quebec province. http://www.canadavisa.com/alberta-immigrant-nominee-program-ainp-faq.html

Hi, SISH7255,

Nice to see your comment, how is thing with you ? & +1 for you Smiley

Thank you for your appreciation, people like you knows how difficult to collect these all contact details and information.  Some of Thorncliffe Park Dr building's rental and management contact details and information were collected physically and I have spent some time to gather this information.
I am happy that many newcomers are benefited from my effort, that why I have posted PM reply here, hoping that more people can get information.
I have received many similar compliments from forum members.

Thank you again and best regards,

Dear brother hmisabpk,

Thank you very much for your invitation and willingness to help me. I have been running around dropping my resumes and attending interviews this week and finaly secured a job with Bank of Montreal (BOM) today. I am so happy. In my first week here, I took a survival job for three days/week and in the second week have secured a full time job.

Thank you brother hmisabpk. I am glad to share my experience as hereunder:

Before arrving in Candada, I had prepared targetted resumes and cover letters for different types of positions and saved in a pen drive. I had taken help for this from many Canadian resume/job sites. I had also made a list of all employment centres and popular recruitment agencies in Richmond Hill, Markham and Toronto area. Immediately on arrival, I found that a new gas station had come up in Richmond Hill, went there and took up a job for Friday/Saturday/Sunday, keeping other weekdays free for job search. I contacted York Region Employment and Community Services YMCA of Greater Toronto, they guided me on fine-tuning my resume and cover letter. They have been sending me many job posts which are not advertised on job portals. Its sort of hitting the "Canadian Hidden Job Market" which is not visible to all. I find that Community Employment Service is reallty useful for this purpose. They advised me to personally drop my resume at few corporates. I have registered myself with "Manpower", "Adecco", "VPI Inc" and "ACCESS Employment" and getting useful leads. However, after "putting my foot in the door" at BMO, I have stopped my search for the time being. I have worked for 14 months in a bank in India in the begining of my career and am happy to come back to it. I will clear differnt banking, securities, mutual funds and insurance exams (in fact on the day I got BMO job, I bought some books before returning home) in the near future to grow within the organization. I had cleared these in India and should not be difficult.
Once again, with right, positive and focussed approach, its not that difficult to get a job.
Best wishes to every one..
Sunny
