Dear HMISABPK Assalam O Alaikum Once again i need your kind advice, as my destination is Alberta, may i stay for 2 - 3 days in Toronto while on the way to Edmonton? Is this ok to consider my move from outside Canada to establish my residency in Edmonton? We have already completed our landing formalities in Oct 2011 at Toronto and came back, and also got our PR cards.
Thanks a lot. Best regards
Hi, Kim2011,Waalekuim Salam, Yes, it will be consider as your residency in Canada. For Edmonton residency will start from the day when you will reach there. Regards, hmisabpk

Hello hmisabpk, Hope you and the family are well. I will arrive in Toronto on 19 April 2012. I understand OHIP will start three months after my landing. Should/Can I buy an Health Insurance from India showing one way DELHI-YYZ ticket for these three months? Cheers.. Hi, kim2011,

TO hmisabpk,
First of all, i really aprecite your kindness to help people in process. May God bless you well in return.
I am from Pakistan working in Saudi Arab in Jubail. I got married and got my wife added in my application. I recently received medical and police clearance certificate. But the problem is that my wife is pregnant and she can not go for medical. My lawyer said that they can ask for a halt until she gets ready for the medical. I am wondering that after the brith of the baby I will have to get my baby added in my application and it might take some time. please advice me.

Hi, vermas,Thanks we are OK. 1.OHIP coverage will start after 90 days. 2.If no any health concern or carrying old deses, no need to buy any insurance. In case any minor problem you may visit any walk in clinic and buy med over the counter. If any concern than you can buy form India or Canada. 3.If you don't have planned to go back immediately after landing, than you can buy only one way ticket (there will be no time frame in one way ticket) Hope that helps, hmisabpk

Hi, raoasifjah,If your wife is expected within few months, than you can halt your medical and send information to VO. After delivery add newborn and complete the medical. However, after 5 month of pregnancy, medical & x-rays can be performed. But may PPR / COPR or visa will delay and at 6/7 month pregnancy long air-travel is not recommended or not safe for mother & baby, many airlines will not book the ticket. In my opinion if she is 4 or 5 month, than better to halt till delivery. PPR & COPR will take 4-6month and by the time your baby will be expected than you have to go back again for all process. Hope that helps, hmisabpk
