Was it hard to get and appartment the first day? I have read many stories about the landlords giving hard time to us newcomers with no reference letters from Canada or leasing-renting history? Would you care to share with me your experience getting an apartment?

Regarding the apt, you can rent on first day, there is no need for any reference letters, leasing-renting history or bank statement as long as you are new landed immigrant.
