as long as you have your PR status, he can not have you deported....if you are a PR, then you can move on with your life and try to be happy!!!

As long as you've committed no crime he cant really do anything to you... It's unlikely after two years he'd get much attention from CIC unless he can prove any serious misrepresentation on your behalf...

In fact his sponsorship agreement states that he is responsible for you for 3 years, so if you had to get social assistance during this time, he would have to pay it back...

I'd suggest proceeding with divorce and any custody orders to get him out of your life for good...

As would I. Sounds like he is trying to use the "deport you" crap to bully you into doing what he wants. Sorry you have to go through this...

Agree with the above. He cannot get you deported. You have your PR already. You even have some of his family on your side. Just get on with your life and try not to worry about what he says. He could only get you deported if he had proof you lied on the application, and it would have to be a serious lie.

Legal Aid in your city may be able to help you with a divorce.

You're doing the right thing. I'm sorry you have to go through this but I'm glad you're safe now. No one deserves to be treated like that. And like everyone else said, he can't get your deported unless you lied on the application. Just go about your new life without him.
