Hi Experts,

I looked around and I couldn't find answers for my questions, that why I started a new thread.

So this is my situation, I submitted my PR Application in March 2009 to Buffalo Canadian Consulate, they started processing my application in May 2009. In Feb 2010 they sent me an email stating that my file has been moved to Seattle Canadian Consulate to expedite the process. However, they certainly did not expedite the process because my file is still "In Process". Last thing I heard from Seattle Consulate was, we currenly have more files than we could handle also the parliment has set some new policies/limits and procedures for 2011 so we are unable to process your file this year. They are not able to give me a definite answer of when my application will be processed, this is very concerning because I have been waiting for this for almost three years now.

Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation like I am. I am also thinking of going to a well reputed immigration lawyer now, may be that will expedite the process. I applied my application on my own and I am very sure that I did eveything right. Any thoughts or suggestions please, I really appreciate everyone for reading my thread and responding.

Have a great day!!!

Hi corporate,
Sorry to  say that  no  immediate action is expected  on your case or those who  submitted their  application  before June 26, 2010. Worst is the situation of those people submitted earlier than you, that is Pre February 28, 2008 applicants. There are several people still waiting for decision and some are more than 7 years. I heard some lawyers are going to file  law suit about such cases. Therefore I  suggest you to still wait. Going to a consultant  will not help much and you have to shed some more money.

Thanks Wilson,

I actually qualify under Canadian Experience Class, thinking of applying under that class now, heard it's very quick. Can I apply for Canadian Experience Class parallely or should I withdraw my Federal Skilled Application?

Thanks in advance

if you qualify for Canadian Experience class, you have to wait for 1 year to apply. Anyday Canadian Experience class is better in processing than FSW.
