Hi Everyone,
This is a very good thread. To remind all of us how strict the CIO with us to comply with the procedure..

I need your comment here as I did not put N/A on one field.

In Generic Application IMM0008

Question No.10 Have you previously been married or in a common-law relationship? I checked NO   If  YES -...... Give the following details for each previous spouse or partner. If you do not have enough space, provide details on a separate sheet of paper.
And then the next field is
Name of previous spouse or partner ____ ---> I left this blank, because I already checked NO....
I hate to get my whole package return for this...

But do you all think that I have done it correctly - that I did not leave the section blank by indicating or checking NO and it is ok to leave that next field blank..

PLEASE ADVISE!!!!! THANKS

Sorry to hear that, I got my package returned too so I know how it feels. But CIO Sidney instructions are pretty clear

"Complete all sections. If any section is not applicable to you, write “N/A” (“Not applicable”). If your application is incomplete it will be returned to you, and processing will not begin. Do not leave any blanks."

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG74.asp

We must do what it says, add N/A or None in all Non applicable blanks

Thanks for your response
Also in the Fields that are supposed to indicate Present Date
such as current employment or current address I put blank ---- since this is current and Now I know from other posting that I have to put month/year of the application.... This is not indicated anywhere in the isnstruction.
OH What should I do..
I sent my package on Dec 7, received Dec 10. Should I resend a new package with cover letter indicating that this new package should replace the one they received on Dec 10....

PLEASE Help me with your input on this... THANKS

I did that suggestion to my 2nd application, it is the must logical thing to do. without adding the ugly wording "to present, until now, etc" by hand. I would submit a 2nd application if I were you, I read some other forum I guy submitted two applications thinking that the first one was going to be returned but it wasn't so when CIO Sidney got the 2nd application they just ignored it and sent back stating he already had 1 application processing".
That's my opinion.

Hi Elar or anyone in this forum that can answer
One more question on this Application...
Should I send the whole complete application with a cover letter indicating this is to replace the first one
OR
Should I send the Schedule1 &3 that needs the correction and indicated that in the cover letter?

I applied for both AINP and FSW so - I think I need to resend both again...what do you think?

Please advise.. I need to resend this tonight.

Thank you very much

Hi, 1st option. If your package is returned, CIO Sidney will not keep any record of your file and they turn it immediately for sending back so It is not use to send separate explanation letters or revised forms as they never keep any record of any returned applications.

Hey guys,

I got the same error before and i have to resend the application. Please do assist me in my resend application. Here are my queries.

1. Do you send all the new updated forms? or send the old ones but updated (with their marks/highlight)? together with the letter+appendix? Please be clear New or Old but updated forms
2. How long did it take for you to get the AOR? 2 months again?

Thanks and God Bless!

Hi erikvirgo,

maybe it depends on visa officer. I know some friends who left that field blank and get their AOR.

What is the office that is responsible for your country of residence.  If you live in India  it is New Delhi, at least look at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/apply-where.asp  to find where your application will be processed.
