I had sent my application in July last week which reached there in first week of Aug. I had been trying to get the information about the application but was not able to get to the person on Phone. I received my application back 2-3 days ago and was marked as incomplete, the reason given was the Pictures are not included, but I had stapled the pictures to the checklist I had included but the have sent me a fresh checklist marking the missing picture. The strange part is they have also sent my old checklist in the package and the pictures were still stapled to it.

Any advice if we can do anything about it. My category is 0631 and the cap has reached for the same.

Is there a chance for this category to come in list next year?

We can  hope there could be chance for NOC 0631 Restaurant and Food Service Managers
 for coming years too.
As your application was returned incomplete, there is no other way to do any thing except applying next year.
While completing the application package, ensure everything is there as per checklist. The photos should be marked as directed in the guide and put in an envelope  (write on the envelope Photos - x - Name and D.O.B ) and clip it to the set of application.
Always double  check the package before sending.

The problem is that I had put in the photos in the package (in a clear plastic pouch) stapled to the checklist and still they returned saying they were not able to find photos.

Dear I had same problem last year.
My app. was returned incomplete due to IELTS original marksheet though I had attached it in my package.
Even I found it when I open my returned package.

It is only bad luck.

Never loose hope,Try again.

Correct to put photos in an envelope and to write name and DOB on the envelope and at the back of each photo.
Don`t lose hope, send again.

I have a question, the application I received has a UCI number writen on it by a pencil is the same updated in their records and do I need to mention the same when I apply again? Does CIC keeps the records of the documents I had sent, I ask this because if they keep a record then I may be able to send the Open transcript from my university and experience letters, without getting the same again from them.

I hope to get the response so I can prepare my application again.

If you have already a  UCI number you should show it when you apply again. On IMM0008 Generic form there is a column to show UCI number.

CIC will not trash any application files. The files will be archived after issuance of visa.
