Hi
My 6 years H1B term is getting over this september and I am from India and trying to apply for federal skilled worker category. have done BE in India 2000 and masters in Engineering in USA and working in USA from 2003 till now. I am very new to the canadian immigration and don't want to hire a lawyer by paying 2000 USD want to do it by myself. I worked as IT manager for 2 years and before that I was senior developer.  Please help me with this questions.
Q1. Do I still need to take IELTS exam. I spoke to the attorney and he  also told me it is not mandatory and can be waived by writing a letter of statement.
IELTS or
Other evidence in writing:
• Your written submission detailing your training in, and use of, English and/or
French;
• Official documentation of education in English or French;
• Official documentation of work experience in English or French.
• Other applicable documentation.

does any one have any samples of the above requests.

Q2. Do I need to take the police clearence for applying state 1 . The attorney said it is needed for the later stage.
