2-can I live in US while i visit Canada only once a year ( say every summer ?)

Thnx to anyone who will answer this...its gonna be helpful info.

1.  Usually 1 year from the date of your medical exams, but possibly shorter.
2.  No, you have to reside in Canada for 2 years out of every 5 to maintain permanent residence.

Thank you very much for your answer.

I got another one qstn only, PLZ.
I know we have to undergo Medical for the PR application process, so that they check contagioius diseases, my 2 year old daughter contracted Herpies simplex a month ago, would that be critical to the decision making ? I mean, what are our chances to pass the medicals ?
