When I originally applied for my study permit 4 years ago, I was living in Japan and got a multiple entry visa (I am an Indian citizen). The multiple entry visa expires this year along with my study permit and I want to get both extended. I read here that if I apply from within Canada for a study permit extension, I will be getting a single-entry visa?? Is the correct answer to send in my application to Buffalo instead of Vegreville? Do I need to send in two applications, one for study visa extension and one for multiple entry visa? Please help!!

2 applications, one to Vegreville to extend your study permit, and then once you have it, you apply to one of the Canadian offices in the US for a multiple entry TRV.  Vegreville does not issue TRVs.
