electronic proofs AND submission would be great...no more waste of paper, courier spending and we avoid all the post Canada strikes bla bla bla

i would say make a selection of ur chats...one a month, one every few months, chats on ur birthdays, special occasions, some moments when u were supporting each other, joyful times u were sharing together online, like this...

it does not matter if u show one yahoo, one msn and one facebook chat together i think...the important is to show them chronologically

i would also make a cover letter explaining u were using all these services, that this is a selection, not all chats, and anything else u want to mention (there's a question in the sponsor questionnaire about frequency of communication and how u were communicating, the answer to that would be like a cover letter for these proofs)

go through them, don't just print and send; be comfortable with the info u'll send, some stuff maybe r too private....be aware that all u send, they might read it and ask questions; some people prefer to avoid sending chats about immigration or chats when u have an argument

and yes the keyword is quality vs quantity

I didn't print any chat sessions or FaceBook pages. It's none of their business what I talk about there.
I only made a log of all the Skype call session I made to my girl friend. This basically only states the contact person (her Skype name or telephone number), the date and for how long we called. This was already 7 pages in a small font.

loooooooooool no idea....they might not notice it, unless u wrote it capital with bold LOOOL....what Jurjen pointed out makes total sense, ur conversations r private and a log would be enough...so if u have to chose between log and selection for the same period definitely go with the log...but if the log was somehow erased and u saved the chats, then u should show something, a selection would be good....

also u see many people give advice differently, that's confusing and it happens because each visa office is different; in ca, us, west europe they r more relaxed and probably don't expect, don't want and don't need to know what u talk....in africa and others they r far more stricter, some actually do ask u afterwards all ur correspondence u need to ask people from the same visa office, to understand how the officers work overall

Thats one awesome suggestion! I think people from the same visa office might have some idea the way that office works and are deffo in a better position to help!

I did not include any of the mentioned things (msn, emails, Facebook) and got approved without any problem.

Don't stress about it, do you really think an immigration officer has time to read 100+pages of random conversation?!

abhi211984, when I applied I had the same issue, we had thousands of pages between IMs, emails, facebook, etc.  My immigration consultant told me to only print out IMPORTANT convos.  print out ones where you discuss the future, your relationship, how much you love each other, etc.  He said especially ones where you are talking about future plans AFTER immigration.  That should dramatically cut down the cost of your printing.  If you go to someplace where they do business printing you might get a discount if you are printing enough but I am not sure.  Something to look into.

Thanks alot everyone...i have taken all your advices and printed out the screenshots of only dates and time of our chats ... i did print few emails where we talked bout much we love each other, and as a example of our chat i printed one chat session from msn and yahoo...so dat de know how we actually chat.it include all keys aspects of our lives and things surrounding it...v discussed if v shud hire a lawyer or not, immigration issues...talk about future plans and problems we are facing now...so i think IO will get a good idea of how we chat...i chose the one which wasnt too lovey dovey orelse IO might think i send this one purposely...so the one i chose cover all aspect of our lives...i hope i made the write decission...beside that i also printed out somescreen shots of us chatting online on cam.

looool ours were mostly lovey dovey but i did select, there's no point to show the same thing all over again LOL....we didn't have time to talk a lot back in the days, so most of our talks were sweet...anyway i think ur choice is right; they will see how ur life is, who u r, etc....best of luck!!

You might not want to include stuff where you talk about immigration just in case the IO gets the wrong idea. Khair, whatever suits your situation Im from India btw...
