Usually it doesn't matter... however, the VO's became quite finicky lately & thus, they might put a spoke. It'd be wise for u to submit this one & fetch a new one [for Canada] from ur consulate.

Mr Quorax, you are so knowledgeable with visa processing so I'm seeking your advice. I'm a FSW1  March 2010 applicant with papers being processed in Canadian Embassy Manila. When I received the medical request last Sept 1,2011 I was not requested to submit the police clearance, so I didn't. I have read several of your threads where you mentioned the stages which an application go through: the background, medical then security check. It has been more than 4 months since they receive my medical results and yet they have not requested for my police clearance. By the way, last Dec 20.2011 my ecas reads medical results received.

To my knowledge, March applicants who I know in Manila have received their MR packages with a request to submit the police clearance too. Although they haven't receive their PPRs yet, I'm still getting apprehensive that I should have submitted my police clearance even if it wasn't asked for last September 2011.What would be best to do?  Should I email the embassy to inform them that they haven't requested  my police clearance; submit my police clearance anyway with a note that tells my story; or,just wait for them to request? I'm so wishing for my PPR, please help.....
