just wanna share what i did when i sent my application to Manitoba.  Regarding the Letter of Reference required, double check mo yung checklist of documents, ang nakalagay dun na letter of reference ay for both applicant & spouse.  Noong nsgsubmit ako sa manitoba kung ano yung required sa principal (ako yun) ay yun din ang sinubmit ko sa hubby ko at lahat ng documents na sinubmit ay all notarized...pati nga yung iba na original napa notarized ko pa sa sobrang pagsisiguro..hahahaha. pero yung orig no need to be notarized na...nakakalito kasi minsan pag sinabing "submit a copy" ano..di mo malaman kung orig or xerox na ninotarized..hehehe.

Dun s letter of reference (namin ni hubby..magkasama din kami sa work) na sinubmit ko, nakalagay na din yung english proficiency..na sinasabi dun sa letter na ang medium of communication at work ay englsih..just as simple as that..di na din kami kumuha ng IELTS that time. ewan ko lang ngayon kung required na ba talaga kahit provincial nominees.

Kung medyo worried ka, why not submit additional documents of your husband (Letter of Reference). Kung medyo male-late na sa deadline, try to send in advance thru email then have it send thru courier too...medyo additional cost nga lang.

hello ice, yung hubby mo po ba ang principal applicant kaya sya hiningian ng Notarized reference letter?

Medyo worried lang po ako if tama yung ginawa ko kasi in my case, [ako po yung principal applicant], MPNP requested me to provide updated letters of reference. [please see below statements from my AOR] hindi po kasi naka-specify if I they need updated letter of reference for both of us, so bale yung sa akin lang po yung pinadala ko[sent last May12]. Please also note that we are both under the same company by the time I have sent my application forms to MPNP but still I assumed na yung sa akin lang ang required since ako yung principal applicant, tama po kaya yung ginawa ko? Hindi na po ako nagpadala ng updated letters of reference for my hubby coz by the time I received my AOR, hubby was unemployed and just found a new job recently.

Employment information: Please provide an updated letters of reference from current employer[company name].
All documents and/or information indicated on this list must be received in our office within 90 days from the date of this letter, which is July 03, 2011 or your temporary file will be closed. Please ensure that all missing documents are submitted together as one complete package. Missing documents should not be sent individually. The assigned temporary file number must be clearly indicated on each document. These documents are required to begin an assessment of your application and it is possible that further documents/information may be requested later to complete this assessment.

hello my_angels,

salamat po sa reply. Actually dun nga po ako na-confused kasi sa documents checklist it was clearly specified na required ang letters of reference "for the applicant and the spouse", so I sent them both on the first instance [we completed our application package first week of October 2010 and sent it to my sponsor but they filed it just last March 2011]. However, on the AOR it does not specify to provide letters of reference "for both applicant & spouse" that is why I assumed na sa akin lang yung need ipakita [coz my letter of reference that I have submitted was dated Nov 2009]. Additionally, I was also anxious coz hubby was unemployed from Nov2010-May2011 so I really have no current letter of reference for my hubby na pedeng i-submit by the time I received the AOR. I was also confused kasi sabi ng friend  ko sa Canada okay lang daw yun, kung ano lang daw hingin yun lang daw submit ko..

I hope sana makalusot yun at sana nga po wag na ulit humingi ng additional requirements, may God help me on this one. Posible po kayang ma return/rejected yung application namin because of this reason?

hello po its me again,god is really really good!nakapasa na po ako sa road test,grbe hangang ngaun d pa rin ako makaget over sa saya,yesterday cnamahan ako ng hipag ko to look for car,dame nman choices eh,so we were trying to look for a van para mas convenient kc maliliit pa mga bata,una kmeng cnamahan sa honda 2006 odyssey ok naman ang rate,ok din ang monthly..pero syempre nagtingin tingin pa kme ng mura punta kme sa toyota,at last nakakuha din kme ung toyota sienna 2006 kc clearance sale 5 years mo syang huhulagan,and ang maganda pa nito no down payment kaya go agad kme,sabi ko sa hipag ko pag stable na kme saka na lng kme kukuha ng brand new,so sana c hubby ko makapasa din kc sa wednesday nmn ang road test nia,o dba kinareer tlga nmen mg asawa...

yun kc ang turo ng hipag unahin daw namin ang pag d2rive kc necessity tlga dito,
kahapon din pala nagpunta kme sa the ex,ung parang enchanted kingdom style,dame tao sobra pero enjoy naman mga bagets ko,in na in daw ung mini donuts at fresh lemonade so xempre grab agad kme,dame din mga games ang ang lalaki pa ng mga premyo na stuffed animals


nga pala summer na tlga dito,mainit tlga pero good thing centralized namn dito kaya sa labas lng mainit,pansin ko pag summer dito enjoy na enjoy tlga sila kc dme naglalakad,nag gagarden at most especially barbecue,d2 nga sa area nmen halos lahat pinoy kitang kita mo pagandahan tlga cla ng barbecuehan nila,stainless kung stainless para ka tlgang napakayaman,


balak ko sana this coming fall,i upgrade ang carreer ko kahit teachers aide muna,kc sayang din eh laki sahod nila,pero happy ako kc may work agad kahit na housekeeping lang,bahala na,god is good naman...

Sa case namin, we submitted :

* Certificate from Universty / College that English is the meduim of instruction and communication. ( Hindi kami nag EILTS, that time yata pwede na to, not sure lang ngayon kung need na tlga EILTS, pero kung ako sayo kukuha nako, pra sigurado )

* COE ( notarized )  WITH COMPANY NAME AND LOGO -  PRINCIPAL APPLICANT  (yung samin wala nmang salary declaration. I believed may form pra jan, tama ba guys, we filled up forms asking yung combined salary ng mag asawa? )


* COE ( original )  WITH COMPANY NAME AND LOGO, for spouse / accompany ( AKO TO! )- bigla tuloy ako napaisip ngayon kung bakit orginal ang sinubmit ko at hindi notarized. Nag submit kasi ko nito nung CEM 1 lang , hindi nung very first file ng application. If my memory serves me well, walang instructions sa AOR namin that time kung notarized or original ang isa-submit, kya nagpakasiguro kami kya original sinubmit namin, kulet noh kahit alam naman na notarized lang pwede na.

Wala din pong nakalagay na duties & responsibilities sa mga COE's namin, pumuwede namin, kasi may visa na kami. ( Pero im not updated na sa bagong policy ngayon eh ) kung kaylangan na nga ng ganito ngayon ...NEWBIES HELP US HERE!

Salamat po ice victoria cguro kkuha nalang tlaga ako kesa npppraning ako bka s huli p ako mgsisi I think wla nmn pass or failed dun tingin q rin nmn kaya q n ma-hit ung 5band n required score nla,un pa ang isa tlga bang dpt ehh at least 5ung score ko wahahaha

I think the reason why pinag submit ka ng letter of reference is because the letter you submitted to them was dated 2009 pa. I think they only need an updated one.  As what you stated, you sent your dox October 2010 pa, pero na submit sa MPNP only last March 2011 kaya yong mga certs mo eh expired na ang date. Just comply with their requirement at mabilis yan ma process.  Good luck... lormac

Opo, I have already submitted the additional docs, pero yung sa akin lang po ang na provide ko na updated letters of reference. Hindi pa po kasi ako member sa forum na to before kaya wala akong mapagtanungan by the time I submitted the additional docs. Sana nga po makalusot, appreciate your advice. God bless us all.

Ask ko lang kung may idea kayo  kung dapat pa bang ipadala sa embassy yung old green passport?  PPR na ako at karerenew lang ng passport ng mga anak ko into maroon passport.   Isubmit ko na sana kaya lang medyo nalito ako kung kailangan pa bang  ipadala sa kanila yung lumang green passport.

Please advise baka pareho tayo ng case...

just to give you a thought again, nasa PPR stage na ko, meaning nirequest na ng embassy yung passport namin for visa issuance, however after two weeks i submitted the passport the embassy required us to submit Certificate of Employment of my husband (that is similar to Letter of Reference)..di ko kasi sinubmit yun sa embassy, gaya ng sabi ng friend mo kung ano lang ang hingin yun lang ang isubmit,,pero hiningi pa rin and i guess yun ang isang dahilan ng delay at hanggang ngayon waiting pa din kami ng visa, more than a month na, to think na yung karamihan na nakakarecev ng visa after submission of passport ay within 2 or 3 weeks lang. 

di sa pinakakaba kita pero maige na rin yung magsiguro tayo, i think we should be very careful in submitting docs kahit sa province pa lang (like manitoba) kasi yung mga papers natin ang ina assess nila kung we can establish successfully there given our capacity/qualifications. 

in case you may want to submit addll doc or you prefer to wait kung may hihingin pang addl docs like Letter of Ref in hubby, better siguro na iprepare nyo na din para ready na in case hingin..sayang din kasi yung waiting time....regarding yung letter of reference ni hubby, kung hanggang saan lang may work si hubby yun pwede mo isubmit.  As far as I remember ang sabi dun sa checklist, present and previous employer. so okay lang na walang work ngayon or nung Nov2010-May2011 si hubby.

again, this is just my opinion, the decision is still yours.

Di na po papadala yung old green passport... Dapat yung maroon passport na lang po ang ipapadala nyo...

Hi onchie,
Don't submit your green passport.  It will just delay the issuance of your visa.  CEM requires machine readable passport or the e-passport na.  Just wait for the release of your MRP or Epassport at yon ang isubmit mo.  God Bless and Good Luck.....
