Hi,

Just want to ask if how long would be the timeline after medical to PPR, and issuance of Visa. i need to know coz, i have children and i am thinking if they will be going to school this coming school year. i have 3 kids and were already done on medical and sent last march 2012.

It is your choice if you still want to send them to school but you have to think  that the possible duration of your visa (think positive :-)) is until march2013 or 1 day before the exact date of your medical last march2012. Also, if your planning to leave for canada before march 2013 or say 1 day before the expiry of your visa, how are you sure that your kids can acquire their full school year credentials (for SY2012-13)? It will not matter in Canada, they will just repeat the full school year relative to the uncompleted period here in Phils. However, if your not worrying about expenses, you may send them to school  so that you will not be worrying idle time for your kids especially if you're working else, it will be a good time for the whole family to savor your last stay here in the Philippines bonding with other loved ones, friends and exploring the beauty of our native land (;-))

..oops, the timeline (average) from medical to PPR  is (1 to 2 mos) but will always depend on the completeness of your docs. PPR to Visa is much faster from 1 week to 1 month on the average. Please be sure that the validity of each PP is not less than 6 months before March2013.

That is a a risk if you're thinking positively that you will get your visa with a deadline until Aprl 2014. But as i have said, my personal opinion  only is that  if you're not worrying about expenses by sending them to school then let the kids enjoy the remaining year  in the phils with their classmates.
For example CEM (depends on the clinic) receives your Med report by May and sees no problem in it, they might probably ask you to submit your PP by June.Once you promptly did expect not later than July you will get your Visa.
It is your call, i may not have the best advice but please take that as my personal opinion only. You may also ask new residents in Canada.l Im sure some of them had the same situation before like you.

I have Applied my MPNP file in month of sep 2011 and I got My AOR in month of Jan 2012.


I would like to ask you How  long it takes time to have a Nomination Letter once we get AOR like jan 2012.I want to know approximately time like JUNe or july 2012?And then How long it takes time to have a visa From Delhi Office Like 3 months or 5 months?
Can any one give me a answer plz?

finally, i came across with people who are in the same boat as i am..glad to meet you guyz    i know we all want to fly by july or august in time for summer break in canada and our kids could start classes by september.  the timeline that monstermon indicated here is what i have in mind. what i'm worried about is that other forumers reach up to 1-2 years of waiting for their PPR. i don't understand why?   anyway, i also plan NOT to enroll my two children this school year, since I am holding on to my belief that we'll be flying by july/august. good for you canada0923 & reinzy you had your medicals already. I'm still expecting our MR this week. I think if you are prompt in submitting the docs required from you or maybe the payment you need to pay, i believe you'll be in canada in time for their school opening. i certainly hope and pray that in total of 3mos. from now (at most) there'll be a decision made for families like us who would not be enrolling our children anymore! Let's pray hard for God's hands on our application. Keep the faith!

Hi, I am just a newbie to this forum. This is only my 2nd post. I am just starting to worry about my sister's application. Her papers is being processed since Sept 2010. She had her medical February 2011 and she had throat issues which was cleared by the designated visa doctor. Her medical results was forwarded to the Embassy May of 2011. She hadnt heard from them until Sept 2011 when they emailed her to submit NBI clearance. My sister submitted it prior to the dealine (Dec 2011). She also received a call that same month of Sept 2011 from the embassy if the last document required has already been forwarded. She sent them an email Dec 2011 for follow but with no success. Until now, we're still waiting. I am concerned that it will be a year next month after her medical clearance. Is there a possibility that she will be required to have a 2nd medical exam if it lapse next month?

Hi Kata, the last docs requested from me was by CEM after Medical Tests. They asked me to submit the whereabouts of my wife who had extended her vacation for another 3 months in the US. I declared that she will go home (Phil) by August but no record specified in my document for the period Sept-Oct-Nov. But I guess that doesn't matter at all since before I send the needed details (between last week of Jan), they already emailed me to submit the PPR(Feb.1).  After PPR renewal (which we overlook), we submitted the PPR by last week of Feb then received the PP with VISA after 10 days.

We had our medicals done in Nationwide Makati. Where is/was yours? Some say Timbol and St.Luke's are equally good.

Yes Kata, a friend of mine had theirs in St. Luke's clinic, they are convincingly fast but i guess case to case basis depending on the doctors that will do the test. Some requires additional test. These accredited clinics are probably competing in terms of integrity (with respect to canadian standards). It took me around 20 months, including the 1st denial, deliberate delay of submission of requested docs. The end process really took fast, well im really surprised .
So, you havent had your MR yet.  After you've done with your medicals, usually its around 3 weeks plus 1 month to 2 months of waiting before PPR. I thought you're done this April, that's why I advised you of the possible timeline with respect to VISA validity. Anyway, I am very much impressed on how positive you are, I believe God will provide what you need, in his time.

I am new here.   Anyone of you applied for Provincial Nominee Program under General Stream? Is there a way to check the status of my application? I sent my papers to my aunt in Manitoba last February 3, 2012 and she's not giving me any feedback regarding my application.   Can you give me the time line for the whole processing, from application filed to CIC to stamping of visa?  Thanks a lot!
