Hi Gang Can Anyone tell me if ther is a certain length of time a person can stay in Canada without having a paying job but a disability payment from the U.S.A.. I want to knw if a visa or other documents are needed to just live ther while you seek fuul citzenship?

1.  Probably not doable.
2.  As a US citizen, you probably would be able to get a 6 month visitor's entry, as long as you are able to prove that you can support yourself without working.
3.  To live permanently, you would  have to apply outside Canada (your case Buffalo) for permanent residence.  Unless you have a Canadian spouse it would be under the skilled worker category.  See: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who.asp  read the instructions and take the assessment.
