Author Topic: Moved to United Kingdom while processing Canadian Migration  (Read 296 times)

Hello All,

Please can anyone advice me on the following issue. I started the Canadian migration process in May 2010 and sent the complete document in September. At the moment, the status is RBVO and has been this for sometime now.

I moved to the United Kingdom In June 2010 as a Tier 1 dependant and have been working in my field since then. In a month's time, I would have lived in the UK for one full year.

My concerns are,
1. Do I need to complete any document for the visa office informing them that I have moved to the UK even though my mailing address is a Canadian address?

2. Is it possible for me to change my visa office from Accra to London since I have moved and have been living in London for about a year now?

Please seniors, advice.

1. Yes, you must update the VO not updating can result in a refusal. Send the updated forms ASAP if you are still interested in immigrating to Canada. Updated IM0008 Schedule 1 + Economic Class + Letter from Current employer+other employment proof+UK status documents+Background history form

2. Moving is normally not sufficient to request a file transfer and I will not advice you to do that as well, because your file has already spent some time in Accra. Your file will be considered new at London VO and the time elapsed at Accra will not be taken into account. You can mail you passport from London to Accra, if reversal is possible than hang with Accra visa office.
