Hi Lala, Our application is still in process , we were 2 weeks ahead of Shawngt , lucky him. We hope for next week, it will be 6 months sinds our file was started in Moscow, we hope for the best. I have just returned to Canada after a little over 5 months in Armenia.and had the hopes my wife would come with me, but no luck.

Hello, I'm new here. Been reading everyone's posts and want to say congrats to some and my sympathies to others

I just applied for sponsorship for my wife, who lives in the Moscow Oblast. I'm in Canada, she's in Russia, and we've only been apart for 3 months now (I was living there for the past 2 years), but it seems so long!

The whole thing seems like a backwards system...

Thanks fazimy,

I sent the application to Mississauga and they received it two weeks ago. I didn't hear anything so I called the toll-free line to see if I could get a client ID but was told that they are still working on applications sent up to March 22. That's the only experience I have so far!

You are welcome! The first couple of steps usually goes fast and takes less time but as the application file goes to Moscow Visa Office then it is a long wait and needs patience so just bear with us here....  Cheesy I have started the application for my wife in February...

Hi fazimy,
It looks like we have a similar timeline.  My husband's application was submitted in February and received by Moscow mid-March.  We still haven't received and AOR but on ECAS it says his application was received by Moscow and so have his medical.  Have you received an AOR?

Hello All  Smiley...
I have asked this previously but got mixed answers. Could someone out of their experience tell me when does the count down for 8 months of processing starts? a)When Visa Office receives application b) when AOR is received .... I would appreciate the answer thank you in advance and Good Luck All!!!

Hi fazimy,
We are apply from Ontario.  Everything has gone smooth so far... I mean the sponsorship was approved quickly..It's just that we haven't received an AOR which worries me.  But you haven't received one either.  This waiting and unknown is the worst!

Hi Fazimy,

The 8 months is from the time your application is transfered to Moscow (arrived in Moscow)

Today got the word that visitors visa was rejected for the wife. It was expected but still very disappointing. Also received gsmc notes. Not what i expected.limited information, no expended notes.pretty much medicals backround check in progress as of april 4th security check not in progress.says something about her being prospective. I am disappointed in notes aswell. The only positive is i am going to visit the wifey in a week. I miss her so much. Coming back middle of june, praying to hear good news by then so we can comeback together

Hi Dmitri,

Sorry to hear you were refused for TRV, it happen also to us and its so unfair, why would anybody jeopardize the process. and other offices are not so difficult. We are waiting now for over 6 months for her PR and her application was laying in Moscow for 10 weeks before a file was started. Our patients is really being tested!! Now her medical is going to run out in an other 3 weeks. Wish you a wonderful time visiting
your wife.
