meairplane! Congratulations!!! That's huge!  Did you spend time away from your significant other?  Did you get a temp visa to visit?  That's huge news and so good to hear.  Can you tell a little details about your application, how you organized it?  What you included?  We just sent our application to Mississauga on the 9th and so excited to have the ball rolling now

shawngt2, thanks a lot! To be honest, my hubby and I did not expect it to happen so soon:) We got married in Russia on Dec 4th, 2009. Haven't seen him since then. I was refused a temporary resident visa 6 months before we got married so I never applied again.
We organized our package very thoroughly, included lots of e-mails (2-3 from every month and some e-mails where we discuss our future together and make plans etc.) We put lots of pics including pics taken with our family members (for exmpl, my husband's dad attended our wedding in Russia). To cut it short, every significant 'piece of our story' was included. My husband put everything in 3 envelopes: one for my docs, one for sponsor's docs and one for proof of our relationship and made it as simple as possible to review.
I have to say Moscow did a really good job working on our file. Good luck, guys! The real waiting game has started for you - you will all have your loved once there with you eventually, just be patient and get yourself busy getting ready for the great move:)

Moscow office did a very good job for sure! It's so quick! Now we look at things more positive and will take your "taime story" as an example for us!   My husband (shawngt2) organised all our papers the same way!
Did you have an interview in the embassy? I guess not.
Which city in Canada your husband lives?

shawngt2, Good Luck to you, I was so very relived to get my letter of acceptance, like I said before it's like evey step of this process feels like life or death. So Sonsorship's Good, Medicals Good. We sent everything in at once medicals, police clearances, ROPR Fee, etc. Just we did anything we could to make this process as smooth as possible. The Medicals were done close to filing so we haev no worry of them running out. I see some people filed well after the medicals and I would be worryed about having to redo them.

I guess in a way no news is good news but in this case it only adds to the stress meeter. I have been making a update to our application incase she has a Interview that is already looking large, 6 months of phone bills, info and pictures of our recent family vaction, cards we sent each other since, etc. Seems they usual ask for proof of continuing relashionship to be brought with you to the interview and even if they do not it does not hurt and helps pass the time while we are apart some.

We are missing each other terribly and just try to keep focused on each morning we are one day closer to Forever.

I had two other friends get married in the past couple weeks.  Both abroad.  They will be joining you guys in the paperwork wait as well shortly.  Good luck to all!  I am hoping for you.

The more the Merrier they say.. well somewhere.. lol.. if anything all of us in process now will be a good example of timing for them.

We still have heard nothing at all, however it downed on me after reading many posts people perceive progress at times with the request for this or that.. Medicals, Police clearances, ROPRF, etc. We included everything from the start and very detailed application with lots of evidence. So while it feels at times we hear no progress, well we included everything needed and more.

Tonight I am sending my wife a bunch of nice gifts as well as a say 100+ page update, six months of phone records since we applied, a family vacation trip report (tickets, boarding passes, visa's, receipts)  many cards we send to each other and family.. yeh we love the technology but we are also old school at times as receiving a card in the mail rather than an email is sweet.  Updated evidence in every category in a way. If she gets called in for an interview she will have very good documentation to go in with.

I hope we hear something soon, we both to this day I can honestly say we spend at least 4hrs together a day. The worst as you know is the time difference (8hrs for us), but she is a real trooper and stays up till 2am or later at times so we can share quality time. Even when she is dead tired she just wishes to make sure I made it to our home here. (I have to commute to work sometimes over a hr)

Anyhow I been married before, I have went through the motions  where not all choices are yours alone (everyone saying you should be married, etc), and you hope for the best.  The hardest lesson to learn in life is you only have the power to change yourself, and you can kill yourself each day in hope, but you can not change anyone else.

I am now married to my “True Love”, and the First Lady I asked from my heart, my sole, in knowing not hoping “Will you Marry Me” This is why we miss each other so, because as most of us, it is True Love. Yes we did not choose to find love so far apart, however we are doing the hardest thing imaginable, and yet.. It is OAK.

I could go on as usual lol, but yeh you heard it all from me before lol

Welcome Dmitri!  I am also going through Moscow.  I was approved as sponsor last week...

Welcome and good luck!  Please keep an eye on this thread and we can communicate with each other here as there doesn't seem to be many people going through Moscow.

i am wondering if they would ever give her a temp visa so she can visit me for new years, but then i dont want to apply at the same time as her pr is processed

Once you get your sponsorship approval Dmitri you might consider a temp visa for her to visit.  That's what we did back in 2008 and to our surprise she was approved and got to visit over Christmas and New Years.  It only hurts a little to apply and we just treated it like a lottery...if we won...great...but we didn't expect to.  Just make sure you reference your sponsorship approval and file number and make the temp visa application clear that she is just visiting before she goes back to finish the PR process.
