To those who received POVL letter from Moscow recently:  do they still ask to send additional photos with passport and letter/form to get your PR visa?

Russia USED to require additional photos (2) but does not anymore I think.  Just checking.
Kiev does not require additional photos.

Thanks

My wife (the applicant)'s street address disappeared from her e-CAS page.  Nothing changed from mine when I log under my UCI#.

Check yours and report here please.

Based on info from different forums this means one of three things that can happen within a week: request to redo medicals OR request to get new police records OR (hopefully) POVL is sent = PPR = Passport request = visa is coming  Grin

Anyone has any info about this?

Update: today her street address reappeared in e-CAS.

Here are some of the BEST times we could compile from the most recent Spousal PR applications who received the POVL from the Moscow visa office. Some of you may recognize themselves as this data was collected from many forums.

Some notes about the first column:

87 days was for someone going to Quebec and possibly having submitted all application in French.  Apparently it might help because few officers can process it so it gets more attention from them.

62 days might be from a *powerful MP* 's intervention. Not sure.

75 days was discussed recently here.  Mr Oliphant's intervention at the PARL CIMM session (March 10 2011) might have helped this case indirectly.

Numbers on the same line are for the same applicant.

Haha, I check this thread out at least once or twice a week!

This table is great. It means that my wife may get her visa by December! Thanks for whoever made it!

Nothing changed on ours - maybe just a database glitch?

That's what I first thought but researching forums showed me a probable correlation between address disappearance and one of 3 actions above. I think this is due to the fact that the database record is locked during modifications by visa officers.  It shouldn't be blocked for read access, but maybe the system is designed to make sure that half-modified data cannot be accessed/read during modifications.
If this is only quirky statistics I hope we will part of them  Cheesy

Someone going to Quebec (like us) just set a new processing record for Moscow office:

PRV Application sent to Mississauga: Apr 26 2011
Documents in Moscow: Jun 04 2011
AOR: Jun 24 2011

# days from Mississauga to POVL: 115  Shocked
# days docs in Moscow to POVL: 76  Shocked Shocked
# days from AOR to POVL: 56  Shocked Shocked Shocked

What is going on at the Moscow office ? ? ?

I think that these numbers are indeed erroneous in some way.
OTOH the shortest AOR-POVL time so far was 62 days.

You got POVL?  Congrats!!

That proves my theory: address disappearing = POVL on the way.
So far it worked for 3 of the 4 cases where address disappeared in the last week or so. WE are the 4th case Wink Grin

Hello fellows, I am sponsoring my wife from Quebec and she lives in Tajikistan(former USSR). It has been almost 4 months since AOR. I was there with my wife for the summer holidays and we also sent some additional proof of relationship. She has not received anything. E-cas only says 'Application received'. I am worried  Sad

Received application on January 25 2011

Processing application on June 24, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

Paid the residency fee June 28 2011

I don't want to make anyone feel bad, but I know a guy who took 15 months to get his wife here from Russia.  I'm hoping none of use will be that long. A few people told me once they ask for the fee the wait is very short. Six weeks in my world isn't very short. have others here paid the fee only to wait a long time?
