same in my ecas. But i dont think that means visa is coming. Well... not for moscow VO

Not necessarily.  Depends on how your VO processes the file.  If I am not mistaken they then check the Police clearance and send out the PPR.  We received the PPR and Approval in the same letter and had Passport with Visa within 6 days according to the date stamped on the visa.  But if Medical Êóñìýâ is on ecas then yes they have your file at the VO

Thanks magpie. So it could be good news or it could be the same old.

Actually her status on e-case still says "Application received. We received your application for permanent residence on July 20 2011." Under that it says "Medical results received." I guess e-case isn't really anything to go by. I've read on here of being receiving their visa and their status still says "Application received".

When does the line "IN PROCESS" appear on e-cas?
And what does "in process" actually mean?

When you see in-process on ecas it means that your file is received at your VO and has been assigned an agent who will work on it.  You should see soon on ecas also Medical received if your did your medical before submitting your application.  If you did then you will see it as probably the next step.  Once you see that then they go through your Police clearance and if all is okay you will receive your PPR.  95% of the people who receive their PPR are general speaking approved.

From what I understand,  Moscow is a slow VO for processing.  You will just have to be patient.  All good come to those who wait.

Hello everyone,

My wife just received an interview date at the moscow visa office for november  . Can anyone tell me if she should prepare for any kinds of questions . What do they ask here ?

Here is the letter she got today

Dear Ms. Morin,

You have been scheduled to attend an interview at the Embassy at xxxxxxxxx. If you are unable to attend your interview due to extraordinary circumstances, please advise the Embassy immediately.

If you do not speak Russian, English or French, you must bring your own interpreter (not a relative) to the interview. You are required to confirm your attendance for the interview at least 2 weeks prior to the scheduled date by sending a fax to +7(495)925-6090 or by email mosco-immigration @ international.gc.ca. If you bring an interpreter to the interview, you should also send us his/her name along with the confirmation of your attendance for the interview.

Failure to attend an interview, or to bring an interpreter who meets the above requirement, or to bring the documents below (if they are applicable) may result in the refusal of your application.

Below is the list of documents you should bring at the interview. Do not send any of these documents to the Embassy. If any documents are in Canada you should receive them by mail in advance and bring with you to the interview.

Proof of relationship and communication with sponsor:
Original documents are required. The Embassy does not accept proof of relationship in electronic format. Before the interview, you are kindly asked to remove the documents from folders and envelopes. Please be advised that the Embassy reserves the right to keep original documents upon completion of review.
letters and/or emails between you and your sponsor (with translation into English or French);
proof of your first contact;
printouts of communication via Skype, ICQ and other similar programs or social networking websites (please see an IT-specialist to learn how to make printouts, if necessary);
phone bills (your and sponsor's), including printout of phone calls made by virtue of calling cards (please see an IT-specialist to learn how to make printouts, if necessary);
your wedding and family photos with your sponsor;
documents pertaining to financial support provided to you by sponsor (if applicable);
any other proof of your ongoing relationship.

Originals of the following documents for you and for your children (if any):
Birth certificates;
All marriage certificates (or certificates from civil registry offices (ZAGS) regarding previous marriages);
Divorce certificates (or certificates from civil registry offices (ZAGS) regarding previous marriages);
All diplomas with transcripts;
Work books (if a work book never existed or if it does not reflect the complete work history, then provide reference letters from all places of work not listed in the work book);
Travel passports;
Internal passports;
Death certificate for previous spouse(s) (if applicable);
Proof of studies (for children 18 and older): reference letter from educational institution, student ID card, student's record book;
Affiliation (father's establishment) certificate (if applicable).

This waiting is frustrating. It's been nearly 200 days and we've heard nothing. Who has received their visa, and who is also still waiting?

Still waiting here. But my wife got her interview date. I think maybe it was because we wrote some nice letters with our second TRV application . We explained in my invitation letter the importance of her being with me in canada while we waited for the PR to get approved. I think they said F..It just give her an interview date . Just my thoughts though...

 I have been waiting so don't worry you're not alone. I summited my file Dec.2010  Been waiting on a background check from her government for 7 months now.  I should add that my wife is not from Russia, but the CDN embassy she needs to use is the one in Moscow.

epcortek ,

 They are having the interview to gather information to see if the relationship is genuine. They will ask many questions with regards to your family. She may need to tell them your family members names, birthdates,what you do for a living, where you live, things that a genuine couple would know.

I am also using an embassy that is not in the country my husband is from. I assume this means it will always be longer as they have to work with the  neighboring country Sad

Hopefully, though, they will still be quicker than what is listed online.
