More than 22 working days at Detroit

Hi,
My USPS express mail package arrived at the Detroit consulate on May 31st and it was signed by M Moore at 10:17 am.
The USPS signature page said the package was delivered to 100-600-REN-CEN.  I am a little worried right now about my passports....
It has been 22 working days now and 30 regular days.

Can anyone help me who has faced the same kind of situation earlier???

They won't even answer a question about the application until 30 day.   I would say your are in the "should be coming in the next week or so" windo.    Any longer, than yeah maybe you should contact them.

It also looks like the Detroit office is changing some of the type of visa they are doing and also eliminating the same day, in person application process.  If they are going through a transition, things might be a litte slower than normal. 

Just a guess really.

Yes, I got it on 7th July. Which is 26 working days and 38 regular days.

Hey rkacha, good that you got your visa. Some nationalities are subject to longer mandatory wait periods in addition to the normal processing times. I am from Pakistan. Can you tell us which passport you had so that I could guess whether I would get my visa within the time it took you. My application reached Detroit on June 13, 2012. Thanks,

I have sent my passport to Detroit office for Visitor Visa  by Mail.
I ahve sent it in USPS exress mail , Detroit embassy got my Passport on Sep-20th .
They took just 10 regular days ( 7 business days ) and i received my Passport back with Canada Visa on Oct 2nd.
If u guys want to send it to mail , i am preferring Detroit office is the best option.
