More curiosity questions..

I noticed in this section while reading the posts that when you land, there are procedures and the like when you do land.
My inquirys are: When you do get permission to land, when do you have to land by?
Which is better to land by - Airport or land border?
When you bring your goods, does your list have to be exstensive, detailed, or can you have a general description?
On goods to follow - Can you land first without goods, then U-HAUL them up at a later date?
As always, any and all answers and comments are welcomed.
Thanks!

When you are given your PR visa, it comes with an expiration date. Usually the expiration date is the same as the expiration date of the results of the medical exam - the medical exam is valid for one year. If your passport will be expiring before that date, then the date your passport expires will be used instead.
You have until your visa expires to land.
I've no personal expirience with landing (yet), but from what I hear it's normally a very simple procedure and it doesn't make much of a difference where you land. Personally, I'd go with an airport. Don't ask me why though, it's a prejudice I guess.
The list doesn't need to be very detailed. Like, for example, you can just write "1 suitcase of clothes" and that's fine. If you're bringing in anything more valuable, it should be listed along with its estimated value. And if it has a serial number (mostly applies for electronics), write that down too.
It's perfectly fine to bring things into Canada at a later date, but if you'll be doing that make sure you fill out the goods to follow form.
