Hi!

I'm sponsoring my mother for PR. The application went to Mississauga in February 2007. I've been watching the processing times at "http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/canada/process-in.asp". Processing Applications Received Up To had reached October/November 2006 but has recently leaped backwards to August 2006. This is obviously very frustrating. I'm wondering if anyone knows WHY the processing queue appears to have started moving backwards?

I agreee!! I am waiting for my husband's sponsorship and nothing yet although other people got their replies much faster than me!! Still waiting!!

A lot of staff have been sent overseas on temporary duty to process Skilled worker applications and parents are of the lowest priority.

Well that would explain why my sister's skilled worker application suddenly started processing, when we thought it'd take at least another year!
