Hello, my wife is living in Philippines and waiting to obtain her canadian permanent resident visa. She receive a letter on-time by the canadian visa office in Manila. But she read the letter after the date of the interview and she was not present at the interview. Can she call the visa office to obtain a new interview? Can the visa office reject her visa because she was not at the interview? Thank you very much for all answers.

 Huh  Your wife has to call the embassy and explain what happened. I think it may be a solution if you have not spent much time of the interview date. ;

I believe if u miss the interview they will assess your application based on what they have and can issue you a refusal on those grounds that caused for concerns in the first place

Hello everybody, after talking with my wife, she told me than she never received the letter from the visa office. The letter she read was not related to her resident permanent request. But anyway, she miss the interview. Must we contact the visa office to say than she never received the invitation letter? What is the best thing to do? Thank you very much again.

Both of us received an email( the sponsor and the wife)at the end of the day of the interview. In this email they say than an interview was scheduled on july 7, but nobody was present. Finally, they say, we will make a decision about the request of permanent resident on the basis of the informations we have. On the CIC internet site, we can see than the interview was scheduled. But me(i'm the husband and the sponsor), i never received any email,letter or any informations than an interview was scheduled. Thanks again.

ok i understand, in this case you should have checked ecas regularly and if found that interview has been scheduled and no letter received yet then you must have contacted the VO for the same. the sponsered person i.e. your wife must have received the letter for interview, it is sent to the sponsered not the sponser.  anyways its too late however, you can explain that to embassy by personally contacting them and emailing them or faxing them

Here's the link: https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/?app=ecas&lang=en

Just follow the steps, accept the terms and conditions on next page and for identification type, u can use your payment receipt number and your information or use immigration file number (in letter your wife got for PPR) and use her information to log in and see the status.
