DHL or FEDEX which ever charges me less
-we dont need return couriers because in the instruction they mentioned the passport will be sent to Abudhabi from where it will be send to all applicants in the gulf except for saudi

Hi  to all those with kids,

It is not unique to all visa offices. i wrote to Abidjan visa office  and i  was told to make a new passport. So please for those who have kids always make sure you contact your visa office, especially when the  passport is 3 years old. This is because the minor has grown up and his or her face has completely changed.

If  they do not inform you and you do not ask  and the last minute they as k you to make the passport then it will be a waste of time on your part.

Thanks

I second this since I was also asked by my visa office to specifically change the child photo on the passport. Child was 1.5 when passport was issued and 3.5 at application time. So again, it was a question of change in appearance as Canadaforall says. I'm sure it differs from visa office to office, case to case. But I also think you dont need to do anything unless the visa office asks you to, since often the photo cant just be changed and a new PP needs to be issued and you dont need to get into that unless they ask you to.

Hi Lw,
I agree with you. when i saw  the problem you had i just decided to write my visa office and they immediately ask me to make a new passport so i started the application for her passport immediately. So all is fine  with that now problem for now.wit the passport issue.

Thanks

I also wish I knew about this earlier. Since in my case I got this PP photo change request along with medicals, and hence no PPR request as is usually the case with ND. So now I have been waiting for about 2 months since the updated PP copies and medicals reached them and still no PP request. Maybe if I had known about this, inquired and got it changed before sending full docs to ND, I might have got medical and PPR together!

  Hi Lw,
Yes you are  right. For the rest  of the Applicants for those who want their application to be faster , just write to the visa office  and ask them. then you can  do it all before it is time for pp request.

  Hi Pammi,
If i were in your position, i will go ahead and ask the  visa office processing your file. This is because my  visa office never asked me until, i asked  them and they told me please make a new pp for your child. So do not wait till the last moment and it will delay you for nothing. If i were you i will ask some members who have kids from your visa office.

Just my idea.
