Does anybody know what documents a minor who is a canadian resident needs to visit USA?  I have a 10 years old nephew who will be traveling alone to come to USA to visit his aunt, me here in the USA.  His parents will not be joining him but has their consent for their son to visit USA.  Please advice..

By your description I assume that you are asking what documentation a minor Canadian "resident" will need to visit the USA (not USA -> Canada).

  • If he is a Canadian citizen he will need a Canadian passport.
  • If he is not a Canadian citizen then what he needs (in addition to a passport from his country of citizenship) will depend on his country of citizenship.

As for consent documentation, this may vary based on the method he is using to get to the United States.  Given his age, I'd have his parents contact the airline (I assume he is flying) to see exactly what is needed.

If you provide more details regarding his citizenship status and method of travel I'm sure that one of the senior members can give you more complete insight.
