She can't go lower than the minimum wage, that is why it is called minimum; it is illegal. You can actually report her to proper authorities (try Service Canada), if she refuses to give you what is due you.
hi everyone. Im paid 10 per hour x44hrs per week since 2009. I told my employer now that the minimum wage is 10.25. She told me that she cant make the adjustment until i finish the contract next yr. Is it not mandatory that she follow the current wage irregardless of the contract? I am not asking for a raise , i just told her my rights .but sad to say, they just want to get more than what they are giving me and i am on the losing end coz they can choose to release me. Well, time to hunt a job again
