Hi Jess,

My employer has agreed to submit the LMO for me under NOC 6231 and they are asking what is the minimum wage for this specific NOC? Do you know where I can find that information?

Thanks a lot for all your help until now!

Wage ranges are location-dependent, I do not know where you are.  Minimum wage for an occupation will likely result in the LMO being rejected.  The wage has to be around the average (mean) or above.

The links on this page should help -

I am in windsor, ontario and I'm working as an insurance broker. Does HRDC follow any specific chart to determine the min age for my position in the area? or it's just a general average calculated from the links you've provided?

I can't tell you for sure, I don't work for HRSDC...  Just look at the information available through those links, esp. the ones provided by HRSDC.

Try looking here...

So, the possibility of getting a positive LMO depends on the average wage or the minimum wage of the specific job in the are? I mean my salary is above the minimum wage but below the average wage, do you think that's okay?

Average wage - I don't think it has to be exact, but pretty close -

http://www.hrsdc.gc.ca/eng/workplaceskills/foreign_workers/temp_assessment.shtml

I realize it doesn't actually say that the wage has to be at the average - but that has been the basis for a number of LMO rejections recently (of course this information was just updated, so it's hard to say if this pattern will continue).

Here http://www.workingincanada.gc.ca/report-eng.do?action=display_allnoc

One you identify your NOC, click on it, it will ask you about your Province then your City then it will provide detailed reports including the range of wages and the average

yes, I have already checked it. but my hourly wage is below average rate but above minimum. This would trigger my LMO to be rejected?

That did not trigger mine to be rejected, although I have been in the same situation as you. But I have seem some cases in forums that claim to get rejected because of that (and caused me to panic).

Best luck.

ohh that's a relief! For Insurance Brokers in WIndsor area it is:
Low: 11.00
Average: 15.44
High: 20.90

mine is $13.75. You think I'd be fine?
