Hello!!   Im jay I work at restaurant for 10 yrs as cook since 1996. My company requires us every year a medical exam. last 2005 my xray specialist noted that i had a minimal Ptb and i was treated immediately. I  stop my work and i do 6 months medication as the doctor required and i finished my medication last 2005 and i start again for work in my company and they conducted again an xray and they spoted same angle of result of my x ray film, I ask my docotr why? they say that its just a scar of my healed lungs and they gave me a certificate that im phisically fit or fit to work.. I just wondering if i can work to canada about my situation. about the scar of my lungs,, do they consider a phillipine doctors certificate that i am elligible to work in canada or tit depends on the canadian employer? or should i fail in my final medical to canada.. please  help for me these reason and i consider it as a good news to me,, thanks.. God bless

we have d same problem before when im taking medical examination.. I'll give you a good news you have the chance to pass medical examination but you need to make sure that your ptb is a non active one... but it will cost you additional 7,500 for the test. sputum test which will be required by the embassy to take the lab test...... if your negative you are good to go.... but the processing time of your visa will take additional 4 months..... so good luck
