Hey everyone,

I have just finished my M.Sc. in geology with a major in economic geology. I would say that I know Canada quite well since I have spent two years in boarding at a high school in Winnipeg and my sister currently lives in Calgary.

I was wondering, though, if someone in this forum is a geologist from Germany who managed to get a job in exploration in Canada and who can give me some advice concerning work permits and the permanent resident status? All those government websites (no matter of which country) don't really help much...

What is the best way to tackle that task? I am currently applying for jobs in NW Canada and hope to find a company willing to employ me. This way I would get the chance of applying for a temporary work permit leading to a permanent resident status in the long run through arranged work. Is that the best way to do it?

Thanks in advance for any help! Smiley

Cheers!
